Interesting, you seem to be into the Society of Pius X, I'm right? Also, thanks for the recommendations.

I'm also interested in the political philosophy and economics approved by the Catholic Church, do the Catholic Church only support distributism or there are other options a Catholic can support? And which political philosophy is approved?

>> No.20087593

>>20087559
Not that anon but the Catholic Church is mainly anti communist and as such does support a few models of ecomics including distributism which you can find out more by watching this quick video https://youtu.be/425-VC6BJ2w and this one https://youtu.be/9Ju_iU1AHc8
As far as political philosophy we are monarchists because God made the world to have hierarchys including up in Heaven find out more about it here https://www.tumblarhouse.com/blogs/news/monarchist-faq-charles-coulombe or here https://youtu.be/-n2NknnoQAw and here https://youtu.be/YNUrMK-NMsE if you would like more info I'd be happy to give you some more

>Which translation is approved by the Catholic Church? The Douay-Rheims?
The Douay-Rheims is always approved and encouraged; the CCC and Vatican quote the RSV-CE/2CE translation for official documents in English; the Knox translation is looser and interpretative but provides a fresh look on a number of verses and has fruitful notes, but, as Knox himself said, it should not be seen as a replacement for the Douay, but rather a companion to be used with the Douay; the old Jerusalem Bible is a staple for Anglos prior to them switching to the ESV-CE a few years ago, and personally is a translation that seems like an acquired taste.
>Which one? The one of the Council of Trent? The one of JPII or the one of Pius X?
JPII, but nothing wrong with looking at the others. While you're at it, look into the Baltimore Catechism.

That's covered by the Popes Against Modern Errors. It's just a collection of Papal Encyclicals, you can look them up and read them right now, the most important one is Rerum Novarum

No problem, you can read "The Third Way: Foundations of Distributism As Contained in the Writings of Pope Blessed Leo XIII and Gilbert K. Chesterton"
Pope Leo XIII in his encyclical "Rerum Novarum" and Pope Pius XI in "Quadragesimo Anno"
"Economics for Helen" and "The Servile State" -Hilaire Belloc
"Three Works on Distributism" "What’s Wrong with the World" - GK Chesterton
Pretty much anything by GK Chesterton and Hilaire Belloc

Judging by the meme, that anon doesn't know there's more than one Catholic church, and he'd probably freak out and call the cops if he met a Maronite or any of the eastern Saint Thomas or chalcedonian Ethiopian Catholics. If you think it through, how the fuck were the apostles meant to spread the word without emigrating? Endless immigration was the kind of shit Jesus had as his main mission. Anon just probably likes to think it's not immigration if he does it.

Wrong! There is but one Catholic church you are speaking about different rites. The Latin rite may be the most known but there are some other rites and if they are in communion with Rome they are a valid part of the one Catholic church. We all believe in the exact same teachings just different ways of going about it.
