I'm lost. How does one even begin to tackle the absolute beast that is JK Rowling? Is there a chart? What should I read beforehand to prepare myself for the based mommy?

Aye, you're well lost. Maybe you should start by changing your nappy, or by looking at the atrocious grammar in each and most of her books.

Selling magic to mums and children, is like selling heroin to junkies. The only beast is the pusher man

1. That's not a LessWrong book, that's specifically a Eliezer Yudkowsky book.
2. Unlike everything else in this post, it's a straight up fanfic.

For some, Rowling is unironically the final boss of literature world. Mention her name in front of an audience and they would recoil

Read James and the Giant Peach three times before a mirror, and when the shade of Roald Dahl shows up you need to tell him that the jews really did have it coming. Then you'll be in the right frame of mind to read Harry Potter.

Is this a meme? I read a few chapters and it's the most annoying thing I've ever read. I refuse to believe anyone actually enjoys that.

I'm not exactly saying it's garbage. It definitely is but there are plenty of types of garbage that I understand why people would enjoy. From what I remember it tries to portray harry as this cold, weird, nitpicky wannabe nerd. He was so unpleasant, uninteresting and completely repellant that I was genuinely baffled as to how someone would enjoy it.
