I am about to start reading the ancient Greek canon, having never seriously read before. Is How to Read a Book worth the read?

This.

I find the lists on the /lit/ wiki helpfull as in: hmm that is funny people associate these books with each other... but the association is not always clear and you start to fill in the association with your own fantasy.

Just read good books, that have always been good. Machiavelli, Gilgamesh, The road to Wigan Pier, Thinking fast and Slow.... Just get good books and read them.

No, consider Y.

All these redditors love the fantasy of others kneeling before them and asking permission to do or not do things. I don't have to do what you tell me, retard. I don't even need a reason.
