Not great. I've been writing a novel since about 2014, and am finishing its final part now.
But, as we know, being an accursed SWM means a vast majority of publishers want nothing to do with you, and only if you've written about the BIPOC struggle and the dangers of white supremecy, which I haven't.
So I've been thinking about self publishing, but that seems like such a waste of my time...
It's rather disheartening.

one storyline follows an art critic who takes a job to go to a secret island and interview a murder-artist, but then gets trapped there and finds out they have blood rituals/orgies, and has to escape.
The other storyline follows a computer nerd who becomes disconnected, makes his own hallucinogens and starts wandering around SEA, before getting ‘abducted’ by a terrorist mycologist and coerced into making a killer fungus to kill the people on the artist island

I actually spent a month on that website, actively networking, review swapping etc, pretending to read trash written by 15 year olds and trash stories and acting like it was good. My final outcome: RR, Webnovel and all such sites are actually structured like fucking MLMs, where jus the authors read every other author's work and jerk each other off till they make it at the top hundreds, at which point the algorithm pushes them to the smoothbrains that actually read these stories. it is an absolute waste of time and you are literally better off putting stuff up blind on Kindle and hoping for the best.

Yes women are pragmatic and selfish but so are men. Cmon bro you wouldn't be giving up your pussy for free if you were in their position. Do you expect the better educated and wealthier whites to make reparations for blacks, or believe in Affirmative Action? I doubt it.
If anything blame nature or God. In some ways you sound like a feminist yourself in that you refuse to walk off your tile of self-victimization and take responsibility for fulfilling or coming to terms with your desires. You're intelligent and good at something, so you can probably figure out how to get laid and live a more contented life.
Lying supine, resignation, finger pointing is the easiest thing in the world.

I started writing a new fantasy novel last week, now wrapping up the first chapter. However, I can't help but see writing as useless, I love it - but I think of all the millions of other people who aspire to be writers, publish, and their shit gets bought while my equally as uninspired fantasy will sell nothing. My heart is in it, but my brain is not. Hard to not be blackpilled about it bros. Will just do what I should be doing, and that is writing entirely for myself.

I'm working on the third book of my big story right now. Still trying to figure out what to do with the first book. I may self-publish it, but I'd like to try getting it more attention, first.

The domain name of the story's overall title is actually for sale. I'd considered buying it and hosting the story there, releasing it in installments. The trouble is that they're asking $15,000 for it, and I don't have that kind of money.

I've began to write my first and self declared mangnum opus for the 4th time.
I cant find a "Style" to fit what I want and I feel as though a comic would be better but between my lacking art skills and the stricter rules of the comic industry a novel would be the best option.
I stress about it a lot since I've wrote Ten's of thousands of words just to scrap it and move to a new draft.
I have the story written out in the most basic form of
>A Performs this action which results in B so Team C must now go to A and aid him in his struggle to fix the consequences of B
Just a couple pages of outline which I'm filling the blanks for in the novel. I also cant decide what I want it to be a few large books written like a classic Epic fantasy, Or more pulp like fantasy with a couple dozen 300 page volumes.
It took Tolkien 12 years to write the LOTR and many drafts so I'm not super worried about it but I don't want to spend 30 years on the story and by the time It's over I've only completed the first tale of the 5 I have planned out for the larger story. The idea of the setting was what Middle earth or Hyperborea would be like in modern day. Here's the main stories
>Modern Day Scavenger Hunt across the world with Politics and low powered magic
>80's themed prequel adventure with magical people destroying cities and mountain ranges with fights and overall more like an older greekroman legend
>Early age of human colonization in space and a retired bandit accepts one last job from an old friend which turns out to be his biggest
>As the universe falls apart thousands of years in the future the child of light is born in a remote galaxy and must be brought by a 3 man team of under qualified men to the center of the universe where the government will take him in
>The child of Light has aged into an adult without knowing his purpose and sees the horrors of humanity and after a long internal debate decides he must be the one to restart humanity and wipe the slate clean
