A lot of philosophy is just drivel.
Are there any western books against it?
I know easterners have things like koans to make you realize the paradoxical nature of reality but I don't know any anti-intellectuals from the west

You might be interested in Jan Wacław Machajski who was a Polish anarchist who critiqued marxist and anarchist intellectuals as effectively being inherently elitist.

I've come to the conclusion that the word "philosophy" is itself meaningless, because it encompasses too many subjects. In one sense philosophy is completely worthless, in another sense it is absolutely valuable. It all depends on the meaning one imputes to the word in the given context. My resolution henceforth is to stop using this word altogether where possible. I extend the same offer to /lit/, which I presume will not be taken up due to the inherent fetishization of certain strings of characters here and elsewhere. This does not imply replacing the term with a mere synonym. It means going without and beyond.
