before going deeper into jung should i read some freud? his interpretation of dreams for example? from what ive seen in jung and other sources, freud is a fucking schizo

Skip fraud altogether.
The fact some fraudian thought moving Jung to magic was a downgrade from psychology tells you everything you need to know

Jung had many disagreements with Freud but he certainly didn't see him as a schizo. Freud was a trailblazer and a skilled essayist; you should read his important works based off that alone. As far as Jungian psychology is concerned, if you're looking for prerequisites you should read the Bible, Nietzsche, a bit of Kant, and Schopenhauer at the very least.

Fraud is bad just don't counterfeit currency and in a fraudian fashion. I think that's the just of what he meant

ok, ive already read a satisfactory deal of plato but just how well does my knowledge of ancient philosophy have to be to grasp those philosophers? do i simply go balls deep or just stop at plato and aristotle?
