ii was going to get that book at the library but it was checked out. my second choice was blindsight by watts, but when i read the little summary i realized that science fiction is stupid and instead checked out the secret agent by joseph conrad. true story.

The writing was so clichéd at points that I actually laughed out loud. I think there are even Monty Python references in the middle of somewhat serious scenes.
The Battle Royale sequence was entertaining enough, but there are far better books.
