Perennialism to him is the same as atheism/materialism to perennialists.

And why is that?

Yesterday I watched a video of alien hunters explaining their anti-alien weapons to a reporter. This guy reminds me of them.

Perennialists are not in polemic with materialists simply because materialists don't even have a coherent stance to begin with, perennialists go beyond religion vs science/rationality dichotomy which only exists in materialists' minds anyway. They don't deny anything, they just transcend. And he transcends even further into non-being.

The impression I got from your first statement is that he is dismissive of perennialists (of whom I assume you mean Traditionalists), but this makes it sound like he is just building from the same foundation

Yes, he is building from the same foundation, not dismissive.

Sounds interesting. I think I have heard of this man before, Geydar Dzhemal. Russian Shia part of the same sort of circle of Traditionalists that Dugin is vaguely assoicated with. I also heard that he is not fond of Ibn Arabi. Are there any books of his that go into his metaphysics and its relationship with the Traditionalists?

He stopped being Shia and became sympathetic to Sunni Jihadism.

Yes, he was part of what's known as Южинcкий Кpyжoк, he was one of Dugin's teachers and influenced him a lot. One of his fundamental works was Opиeнтaция - Ceвep. From Dugin's book he thought highly of In Search of the Dark Logos. He was a Sunni actually.

The the interview is of an old show called Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends (Season 1, Episode 2 "UFO's"). I couldn't find a proper clip on youtube, only this weird amv-like-monstrosity:

Sounds close to ideas in Tantric metaphysics as well as Zizek’s metaphysics, I would like to discuss more

Also if the whole negative Absolute idea seems weird at all or makes some logical sense but just seems to be about semantics I suggest using marijuana and then thinking about it
