>reading an old book
>the author uses a now-antiquated term that I'm not familiar with, which is clearly being used in reference to the racial characteristics of one of the characters
>don't look the word up because I don't want to be influenced by the authors bigoted worldview
What are other methods for reading older books through a post-colonial and thoroughly anti-imperialist lens?

Abstention. Suicide is another method.

Any time I encounter a word I don't recognize I just mentally replace it with a word I think fits and move on

I never read old books just incase I come across one of those words. Can you give me some examples of those words though so I can tell if some chud is trying to be low-key racist?

You should try the YNBAW method. Although its success rate is pretty low, being at 41% only.

I mainly read old books, and whenever I stumble upon any now-antiqued, bigoted term, I do a quick research on its meaning and origin, then write it down in my big note where I record them all.
Any bit of knowledge I collect will guide me towards my goal of being the most racist man in the world. It’s a thankless, but an honest and meaningful personal journey.

I read old books specifically to learn antiquated racist terms so I can get away with being bigoted in public.
Blacks have no idea how to race when you call them tar baby.
