Hello little friend. Thanks for eating all the bits of dead skin I drop and help keeping my home clean. Also, there is no reason for you to flea in fright when ever I turn on a light, I won't hurt you.

They only destroy books stored away in places where no goes for very long periods. Books are pretty much last resort food for them.

They don't really care about it being damp. Mostly they just eat dead skin and the like. Dead of winter here and things are very dry, still see them.

These animals are 450 million years old and have a lifespan of 30 years. It's pretty amazing.
I never kill bugs, I just pick them up and drop them outside. They do not create infestations like roaches so there's no point.

>Silverfish are able to digest cellulose by themselves, thanks to the cellulase that is produced by its midgut. They consume matter that contains polysaccharides, such as starches and dextrin in adhesives. These include book bindings, carpet, clothing, coffee, dandruff, glue, hair, some paints, paper, photos, plaster, and sugar. Silverfish can also cause damage to tapestries. Other substances they may eat include cotton, dead insects, linen, silk, leftover crumbs, or even their own exuviae (moulted exoskeleton). During famine, a silverfish may even consume leather and synthetic fabrics. Silverfish can live for a year or more without eating if water is available.
>Silverfish are considered household pests, due to their consumption and destruction of property. However, although they are responsible for the contamination of food and other types of damage, they do not transmit disease.

Don't know if any of you do this but I always let 2-3 spiders live in my home. Firstly because the mosquito population and other flying pests drops to virtualy 0 and secondly because I think they're cute and I can't kill them. If I notice that there are too many spiders(wich almost never happens for some reason) I gently pick them up in a jar and set them in the makeshift garden surrounding the commie block I live in. There is one little fellow I realy like that lives in a pot of violets.

I do this and a spider mommy one day made me a whole basket of eggs in a corner and now every couple of months one or two of her babies come out and decide if I have enough house and bugs for them to be happy. Two new ones came out last week and I had to show them round the place again and clear spider walk ways through leads and other obstacles they were suspicious of. I think only one stayed because he was checking out the back of the bookcases. A lot of them choose to leave :( They know there are more bugs outside.

So uh how do you get rid of them?

>Rent out one room in my flat
>Year after tenant leaves find these things everywhere.
>The room is filled to the ceiling with clothes and boxes.

Any good poison? Should I open a window? How do I keep them from going to other rooms?

>diatomaceous earth
That shit is amazing. I had a light bedbug infestation once and dumped some all over and they were gone within a week.
