Are there any good books on the praxis of American cultural imperialism? I'm specifically searching for answers on how the relatively untouched cultures: Chinese, Arabic, even indian, and the like, could survive the onslaught

Maybe, but beside some third-worlders who have no access to global telecom I'm at a loss at what other major cultures have been touched less by American "culture". I originally had Russia in place of India in the OP but while preparing this post I had the opportunity to watch several musical clips by russian rappes (morgenshtern) and I now believe they are beyond saving.
