City of Glass, Ghosts, that kind of thing. The stories are never long or particularly well-fleshed out, but they do deal well with identity, storytelling, freedom of action, and the emptiness of life. I also like his postmodern names for characters, like Blue, Black and White, and the way he uses them matter-of-factly, as if they're just pseudonymic.

HIs stuff like In The Country of Last Things is better written (and thankfully longer), but less interesting and insightful.

Only with Rosie Palms. Why? I haven't had sex in a while.

I loved Ghosts. I read something about it that said the characters were escaping from the text and so on, post-structuralist or something, but I know nothing about that stuff, but it was an intersting read. I think I read it on Paul Austers website if you want to check it out, he has links to essays about his work there.
