There is none

brainlet take. Someone wealthy can be an ascetic, and this is the ideal mode of life for wealthy people as well.

But can someone unwealthy become an ascetic as well, for would that not require wealth on a certain sense albeit not materialistic?

I'm not sure I understand, I was trying to say that it is fairer for wealthier people, who are easily able to engage in grotesque and unfair consumption, to live simply and without much, and to spend their wealth in just ways.
Anyways, asceticism does not need wealth. Wealth hampers asceticism, this is why there are stories of ascetic saints who were formerly wealthy people who got rid of all their wealth to focus on God.
Also, to answer OP, asceticism is willfully denying yourself. Someone poor can still eat lots of food, watch lots of movies, and have lots of sex.
