I actually just received a Kindle for Christmas/my birthday and Goodreads has some sort of integration in the new Kindles, so I let them create me an account. After looking at the user lists for "best books of the decade", "best books of the year", etc. It seems that this is mainly a site for normalfags though, huh? (It seemed like the lists were all filled with trendy crap and while, admittedly I haven't read them I just kind of doubt that things like The Hunger games and Harry Potter are peak literature.) I'm not really sure if I'm going to get any use out of this site or if there's any unique features on there that could be helpful. Do you guys use it?
TLDR: Is there anything worthwhile on Goodreads? (Besides cringe reviews, I guess.)

It's a site for women to post shit reviews with low-res GIFs. I use it to catalogue what I've read, nothing more.

Yeah, I kind of figured that that may be all it ends up doing for me too. Hopefully, I can get it to automatically add books I finished on Kindle or something though. I've tried things like that in the past and I just never keep up with it when I have to add them manually.

Use the share function to add the book to GR. I think you can mark it as complete too on Kindle but I usually use the site to do that so I can add a rating too.

i use it to keep track of what I read (it has a note system, restrictive and basic, but it's helpful) and write reviews I can get back to
also I can see what friends read and what they like

Yeah I use it to keep track of what I've read too
I ignore recommendations it gives me because it's never anything I'm actually interested in reading
I do look at the average rating a book has and read a couple reviews before getting books though. Typically if it's around a 4 it's decent (though sometimes they're wrong)
