>Have cannabis users made any worthwhile contributions to literature?
Not that I'm aware of. I can think of alcoholics, cokeheads, and opiate junkies that have contributed to literature, but I can't think of any stoners.
>Do you use?
No. Schizophrenia runs in my family and drug abuse increases the chance of developing schizophrenia in those that are potentially genetically predisposed to it.
>What do you think of those who do?
I don't think highly of them. Most people who use it are addicted and need it to numb themselves to make it through their monotonous life instead of trying to fix it. Worse yet, they almost always deny being addicted to it despite it being obvious.

Right. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they didn't make any worthwhile contributions to literature. From an /x/ post:

1. Iodine tinctures. Nascent, Lugol's, or SSKI. These are for vividity/lucidity.
2. Melatonin. Also for lucidity. However, it comes with a warning. Search for exogenous in the archives. At the same Time, I ran into a guy here who's been using melatonin for 15 years straight with zero ill effects. So maybe it's a 50/50 for now.
3. ZMA. This one is for increasing the vividity of your dreams. Be careful though. Whatever it is that you have on your mind at the moment of falling asleep is what you'll end up dreaming about. So you may wanna avoid any disturbing content around bedtime.
4. Choline bitartrate and magnesium. Same as above, except with zero warnings. Well, save for the magnesium. Magnesium citrate will help make you regular. It'll literally clean out your colon.
5. Calea zacatechichi. This one is for slowing down the passage of Time while you're dreaming. So that way you'll be able to lengthen the duration of your dreams. There might be at least 2 other herbs out there that do the same. However, I'm unable to recall their names.
6. Benadryl. Same as 3 and 4. Except this one comes with a huge warning. It has the capability to plunge your Astral body all the way down to one of the Hell realms. Just like with number 5, it too will induce Time dilation. However, I'm unaware as to the whether the exact mechanism behind it works the same way for both.
7. Galantamine and Huperzine A. 2 examples of lucid dreaming supplements. There's actually a plethora of them out there. Look for the book Advanced Lucid Dreaming: The Power of Supplements.
8. Nicotine patches. It's been ages since I learned about this one, but it might be for lucidity. The same goes for LSD.
9. Chantix. For increasing vividity.
10. Meditation. For lucidity. Specifically, zazen, vipassana, and samatha.
11. Dream yoga. Again, for lucidity. Look for the following 2 books. The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep. And the other one is Dream Yoga and the Practice of Natural Light.

I'll also add:
Certain cheeses seem to induce vivid dreams, probably because of tryptophan. Try stilton (or anything blue) and munster.
Mugwort can be either smoked (in a water pipe is nice, good way to taper off weed too since it gives a very slight buzz) or taken in caps.

Mugwort is absolutely disgusting. I harvested some local mugwort growing on my uni campus and made it into tea and I wanted to gag. Early sailors in North America used it as a substitute for hops, so it's a very common invasive species. I also despise hops, so it didn't taste any better.

I've been smoking daily, especially since lockdowns first began. I struggle to find proper incentive to quit, as I have a nice gf, friends, good job lined up after this semester, and am confidently healthy. I frequently study and take exams high, and get good grades. I can't deny I use it to numb occasional feelings of loneliness and depression, but just about every post or article I have read comes from stories like
"I was 300lb fast food worker high school dropout because I smoked weed everyday, I stopped and now have wife and house", which just isn't the case for me.

The main thing is that it might put a cap on some sort of potential I haven't realized. Is there anyone else out there that "does well" with a cannabis addiction that has stopped using, and how did your life change? It may affect me less than others, but I don't want this addiction to persist into my late twenties. I also don't consistently take any other substances, including alcohol and T.

It is as if the words came to you phonetically. There is a self-annexation at issue here. Things find expression in words without first asking permission. This attains to very high spheres. There is a mute password with which certain things now pass through the gates.
But the mood of depression is deepened also. Fear of losing it is simultaneous with its deepening. I am capable of retaining only the emotional atmosphere of the depression, not its contents.
Strong feeling, once again, of being on the sea. The sequence of phases = ocean voyage, life in the cabin. It's quite clear, after all - it is the world seen through glass. A web is being spun now; everything joins together with the black background, as in bad engravings. The whole room is woven in hashish.
[...] Objects thus participate in my depression = annulment of their matter. They become mannequins. Unclothed dress-up dolls, waiting to do my bidding, they stand around in their nakedness, and everything about them teaches a lesson, as with an anatomical model.
