All I do is just skim bibliographies, grab books from Libgen, Archive.org & random Google sites, then put each of them on tts at 1.50x speed using @Voice. Regex is awesome.

This. Reading is great but I’m at work all fucking day and obviously can’t read while I’m working. Audiobooks are a modern solution to a modern problem.

Text-to-Speech. Basically, you input text and a computer reads it out loud to you.
>@Voice
A text-to-speech app for Android that allows you to use any voice packages you like (you can use any of the six Indian robots to read an English text, for example) and also has many, many settings to modify how fast it reads, the pitch, the volume, what sentences do you wish to ignore, should you ignore footnotes, numbers, etc. (the last can be done with regex)

Just hire a sexy man with a raspy voice to record himself reading the book. I bet someone on Fiver does that for like 10 bucks

Use the latest Google packages that come with the Google Text-to-Speech Engine. I recommend using the network-based voice packages on @voice, since they sound much, much better. If you can't use the internet for a long period of time, I suggest hitting the record button and waiting for the program to process the text and produce the audio file. It won't take much of your time. Also, you can modify the length of paragraph breaks and other stuff like that. I don't know if you can make it so that the attributes (speed, pitch, breaks, etc.) are randomly generated within an interval.

I think I'm going to use that for my notes

Think about it. You use Anki to remember specific things like names or data from what you read, and you leave your summaries/highlights playing in the background at a really high speed, which will not be a hindrance to your understanding because you're just reviewing the material

I will never forget anything

I listen to audiobooks at 85% speed or lower usually. I like doing that because when I read I usually try to read too fast and end up having to reread passages, which doesn't save me time but just frustrates me instead.

I use @Voice. It's great, especially on long driving trips, I just download a book and play it on the radio. I don't have to scour the internet for an audibook I just download the book I am reading on kindle and I have an instant audiobook.
