>Emily Elizabeth Dickinson (December 10, 1830 – May 15, 1886) was an American poet. Little-known during her life, she has since been regarded as one of the most important figures in American poetry.
>Evidence suggests that Dickinson lived much of her life in isolation. Considered an eccentric by locals, she developed a penchant for white clothing and was known for her reluctance to greet guests or, later in life, to even leave her bedroom. Dickinson never married, and most friendships between her and others depended entirely upon correspondence.

Her rhyme scheme is not consistent. But yeah, not really bad.

Honestly one of maybe the most overrated poets who ever lived. I think that she was rather observant, and occasionally came up with a few witty aphorisms, but most of her poetry is just strange, unnatural, jagged language, abusing punctuation to force her writing into the metre. She really does come up with interesting things from time to time, but most of her stuff, to me, is thoroughly forgettable and samey.

Coast doesn't rhyme with lost.

Coast and lost are not even a similar rhyme - even their -st has a completely different sound, duration, and directional inflection. This is a bad poem.

The title doesn't have to do anything with the poem, it's the first line of a different poem. This one, as most of her work, is untitled

why did they give it an unrelated title then? seems retarded

More, why didn’t OP crop this out?

lol no it doesn't, it's literally just a simple slant rhyme. which isn't supposed to rhyme directly

You can sing most of her poems to the tune of the original Pokemon theme song.

Yeah wtf. I was scratching my head trying to figure out the allegory, and then dismissed it as pretentious and gay. Now that I know it's just a little poem about a boat I like it more.
