>It is said that physicians sometimes ask patients, “Do you really wish to get well?” And, to be perfectly realistic in this matter, we must put the question of whether modern civilization wishes to survive. One can detect signs of suicidal impulse; one feels at times that the modern world is calling for madder music and for stronger wine, is craving some delirium which will take it completely away from reality. One is made to think of Kierkegaard’s figure of spectators in the theater, who applaud the announcement and repeated announcement that the building is on fire.

You need to return to infancy to truly deprogram yourself. Unfortunately this isn't possible. The closest you can get is probably to do something to yourself that will restrict oxygenation to your brain and will result in you becoming a vegetable who needs to be taken care of...or you could just be a NEET fuck it.

There are just too many people. All this fake system exists for a reason, that if everyone acted like people acted before, e.g. going innawoods and building a house near the river, and drawing water from the river, and so on, there wouldn't be enough room for everyone to live, and there would be bloodshed over everything and society would collapse. The truth is that only when population was kept low by disease, child mortality, death by childbirth, short lifespans, wars, famines, and so on, there was enough room for everyone to live wasting as many resources as people did before. The "natural" way of life is inherently resource-wasting and inefficient. One thing that our system is undoubtedly really good at is large scale efficiency. Yes, it does waste abominable amounts of resources, and it creates hidden costs that are unsustainable, but this doesn't matter on a practical. short-term level which is what matters and will always matter to people because people are basically monkeys. Only thanks to this industrial efficiency you can have billions of people live in a somewhat smooth fashion.
