Can I just skip Descartes and everything in English philosophy except Hume? Descartes seems intelligent but maladroit, like he just ended up being wrong about absolutely everything. And has weird quizzical shit ideas that don't amount to anything

The gameplan is Plato -> Aristotle -> Hume -> Kant

Is this legit?

Based. I like Hobbes based on a partial reading of Leviathan we did in college. Is Hobbes and Hume all the island had to offer on terms of formidable thinkers? Is Bacon and English empiricist shit worth reading? Or even utilitarianism? Or Berkeley?
