Ovid for the best aesthetic, or you prefer the oldest sources such as Homer, Homeric hymns, Hesiod and the lyric poets (Pindar, etc)?

The source was probably ancient aliens/gods/demons/nephilim who interacted with primitive human beings and taught them how to build civilisation. I don't think these religions merely spawned from folk tales. One interesting argument in favour of my point is that in the ancient world the various Greek gods were considered to have "equivalents" in the other nations. So while there were differences in name between the Greek and Egyptian gods, for example, they were still conceived as the same gods. Herodotus talks about this a lot: when you read him you get a sense of the unanimity of ancient polytheism.

I meant, what source do you prefer?

Wasn't Ovid's Roman? I know they were close but I thought there were differences.
