Thoughts on George Macdonald?

>> No.19627141

I like him quite a bit, but my heart has hardened too much this year for me to be able to read his sermons or stories anymore. I hope God will deem me worthy of experiencing grace again. It’s cold outside.

Excellent prose, criminally under-rated story teller, but an absolute brainlet religious copetard, which i suppose everyone in his day was, so I can't blame him

He’s got a nice hat but he should wear it properly not off the side.

I may try; I don’t know what else to do: I feel completely forlorn and abandoned by God. Even the Pater Nosters ring hollow now.

started with the greeks but actually was agrarian since the byzantine influence which is easily seen when you compare his output in prose to his ledger of livestock. the Cacophony of sounds is recorded as being an inspiration for a few Beatles songs, mainly "here, there & everywhere" in prose & "good morning" in sound. A well tended farm is a great e-i-e-i-oh.
