>No one deserves thanks from another about something he has done for him or goodness he has done, he is either willing to get a reward from God, therefore he wanted to serve himself, or he wanted to get a reward from people, therefore, he has done that to get profit for himself, or to be mentioned and praised by people, therefore, to it is also for himself, or due to his mercy and tenderheartedness, so he has simply done that goodness to pacify these feelings and treat himself.

It's actually in your self interest to reject dorks like Stirner because the societies they'd create would be monstrous and framing God and the state as self interested in a way that you're also entitled to act is dumb sophistry

Shows how much you've read Stirner, society is a spook.

Yet you participate in it all the same, curious hmm?

No, I get his point, he's just dumb because what he calls spooks are an inherent part of how we exist in the world, and they're good, actually

The realization that God might not be real and that laws reflect power relations and that we're only bound by them only so far as we choose to be is something most of us realize very young. It's just that if most of us actually did choose to reject the law and morality to exclusively satisfy your own ego society would collapse and doing it as an individual it just means you're a weirdo who will either get killed or rejected for being antisocial.

Like remember Dr. Bones? Dude's marriage was falling apart, and the egoist community rejected him for being a horny creep to a trans woman, and he was on a bunch of drugs.

We aren't thought experiments, we don't live on an island

society serves my ego so what now?

So...laws and morals are followed for our own pleasure...like OP was saying.

is not believing that things are or aren’t deserved/owed itself a spook?

I'd say deserving things is a spook, as no one really deserves anything.
My understanding here is that he's saying that you cannot find morality in altruism, as such actions are still fundamentally egoistic.
