What are some based books I can get for the nieces and nephews for christmas?

Depends how much they like reading.
Stuff like HP and Percy Jackson is good for actual children but then you run the risk of them reading only that into their mid-20s
If they already like reading on their own then you could get them something a bit more advanced

I'd recommend The Hobbit and maybe LotR with it.

Get them The Phantom Tollbooth. Read it yourself too, shits good.

Get them a copy of The New Way Things Work as well.
I read that book at least a dozen times as a kid, gave me an extra 15 IQ.

The Illustrated Book of Myths was my jam as a kid and one of my nephews also loves it. At least it should save the kids from the need to ask whether they have to find a book of myths when starting with the Greeks.
