This. Learn TCPIP, learn how to be a system administrator, teach yourself Linux, get used to Debian, but for a job I recommend you get hired by Red Hat so get used to Fedora and RHEL.

Secret is that everyone else also has pathetic stunted social skills. No religion or government or business is the result of fully thought out fully fleshed out mutual agreement but the exact opposite, more like the moss that forms on those stunted inconsistencies. Majority of people don't pull hard in any direction towards any conceivable opinion or judgement and will parrot and bleat options as most obviously presented so never waste your time on subtlties. They will never empathize with your social awkward inhibitions, anxieties, reticence, because they're not anticipating anything remotely approximating anything you are with pattern recognition and reason. Privately you want to follow a train of thought from beginning to end. Publicly you want to park yourself behind nice stalls where everyone else will be stuck umm uh duh. It's like IRL save scumming speech checks with throwaway interactions especially on social media.
