tfw youve only ever romantically pursued Young-Girls and are a Young-Girl yourself

examples of books that do not depict women realistically would be all of Dostoyevskys masterworks

good literature doesn't depict women, it ignores them and their opinions

At least you picked up on the fact that "Young-Girls" are all those, male or female, who willingly go along with commodifying themselves in modern society. Happy to remain plugged into the matrix, as it were. Pic related is a Young-Girl. His highest ambition is to go back to sleep and pretend to be, of all things? An actor.

Still, as the authors said themselves, it's trash theory. They try to set up a thing which is supposed to make us dislike capitalism, but when it's all done we only hate women even more than we already did at the outset. I wonder if Fulvia Carnevale had any input into this particular piece.

Adds a hilarious new way of reading this list https://rateyourmusic.com/list/lovesick/preliminary-materials-for-a-theory-of-the-young-girl/ (for those of you who are on RYM)

i interpreted that passage as
>as rigorous theory, what we’re presenting is trash
>but the nature of what we’re expositing would make any serious treatment prey to what Young-Girls are best at marginalizing

the book doesn’t make me hate women, just makes me be horrified at this Young-Girl creature it is describing

Then you've misread it. To read it correctly is to read it contrary to the authors' intentions. "Phenomenology of Everyday Life" is an earlier vignette in Tiqqun 1 where the narrator bloviates about how absurd it is that he's in a bakery and how he and the q.t. clerk girl are play-acting as customer and cashier. She and the manager guy are like uhh okay whatever dude and then the narrator spills his spaghetti and does a few more pretentious paragraphs to lick his wounds. Then he publishes the damn thing.

The authors were thirsty and/or just had a breakup, and this inflected their "theory".

If you're trying to pickup children OP, read Lolita. If you want to understand women, and how they should be treated, read the Arabian classic 1001 Nights.

Real life depicts women realistically, which is to say prosaically, as women have no ideal counterpart. Women are entirely unideal, unaesthetic, unliterary. They naturalize and re-absorb any flight into the ideal and bring it back down to matter. The better ones are perfectly self-conscious about this, more accepting of corporeality, mortality, and life's natural cycles than the most philosophically (ideally) materialistic and prosaic man could ever be. The worst women are the ones who have been taught against their own will and against everybody else's better judgement to pretend (even to themselves) that they have a potentially stable ideal aspect.

Even when women are involved in ecstatic sects of religions, of which they usually make up the majority (beguines, lay mystics, cult followers), they are still material about their mysticism. The fact that they can make that paradox a reality is a testament to how stupid it would be to try to "teach them philosophy."

Amazing book

>> No.19576773

I've started reading Sylvia Plath's Glass Bell and main character almost vomits after a guy shorter than her, and the proceeds to breeze through life and get everything handed to her, so it's pretty realistic so far

I would give you book recs on realistic portrayals of women but I'm a loser incel that never talks to women, sits at home browsing 4chan and reading all day so I don't even know what a realistic woman looks like.
