>HEREJE «PROTESTANTE».

>ADJUNTA IMAGEN DE OBRA CATÓLICA.

...

LOS HERÉTICOS, AUN EN SUS VILEZAS, NECESITAN RECURRIR A EL ARTE DE EL VERDADERO CREDO, YA QUE SUS SECTAS SON ANESTÉSICAS, ANTIPOÉTICAS, ANTICRISTIANAS, JAJA.

>Protestants rely on scripture alone, not on external Church teachings
>but what constitutes scripture was determined by the Church
How do you resolve this contradiction?

I just try to follow Jesus Christ. I don't mind that the canon was put together by the catholic church, I'm thankful to the people that did. I just cannot in good conscience call myself a catholic. The idolatry, the goddess worship of Mary, praying to dead people, praying to Mary instead of Christ, the works based salvation, believing that without baptism you go to hell, infant baptism, believing that without the eucharist you can't be saved. It's all so weird and nonsensical. It seems more like some kind of pagan blood religion than a religion that follows Christ. And where did the bible talk about purgatory? So many things don't add up. I just cannot in good conscience practice that. I admit that it's a difficult situation to be in, I see the advantages of having a Church authority here on earth to watch over the integrity of the faith. The Catholic and to a lesser extent the orthodox churches however, have failed to do this. I look at the things they practice and it makes me feel sick and it makes me wonder where it all went wrong. The best I can do is to try to follow the commands of Jesus Christ. I have faith in God's power to exercise good works through flawed individuals. I have faith that the Bible has everything that we need to know.

>Catholics don't immerse people in water during baptism
>The word baptism literally means "immerse".
How do Catholics resolve this contradiction?

By seeing there is no contradiction. Read the Didache.
>And concerning baptism, baptize this way: Having first said all these things, baptize into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19 in living water. But if you have not living water, baptize into other water; and if you can not in cold, in warm. But if you have not either, pour out water thrice upon the head into the name of Father and Son and Holy Spirit. But before the baptism let the baptizer fast, and the baptized, and whatever others can; but you shall order the baptized to fast one or two days before.

The word baptism means "immerse". Jesus was immersed in water. John the Baptist was literally called John the Immerser. If you haven't been immersed in water you haven't been baptized, because they are the same thing.

That doesn't trigger me, it just justifies my disdain for Catholics. At least they weren't raping alter boys for once.
