Can you sketch out Dostoevsky's political program from his writings?
Believing in the soul of the peasant meme and disliking the people he's portraying in demons is not in fact a coherent political program
For a man who belonged to various political organisations throughout his life, it is surprising how difficult it is to pin him down politically after his return from Siberia

monarchism

>> No.19553315

he obviously supported the monarchy but was heavily in favour of all sorts of liberal reforms and wasn't exactly happy with the way the monarchy was doing things. you could say he was a reactionary conservative on various social issues but liberal on economic issues, which is of course the most based thing one can be, and i think that could translate into modern politics in a few different ways from liberalism to fascism. problem is he both disliked liberalism for its limp writsted slippery slope nature, while also hating revolutionary violence which would be entailed in fascism. I guess it all depends on what values would win out in him in the end. if you want my opinion, if he saw how the world order of nihilism and "progress" have so thoroughly annihilated everything good and decent in society, he might be open to a little bit of violence lol.
