I've been rereading lord of the rings. I remember the Sackville-Baggins being shitty but it actually all hobbits are shit. Day after Bilbo leaves? LOL lets knock holes in the walls and floor to look for gold that doesnt belong to us. Better take everything that isnt nailed down less someone else might get more than me omegalol. I mean what are the odds the 4 decent hobbits were friends and actually went on the ring adventure? The hobbits deserved to be enslaved in the end.

They all had some tenuous claim to his obvious wealth, but he left it all to Frodo. This shit happens in real life all the time. People are awful when it comes to money, dragging their deceased family's estates to ruin through a court system that ends up taking all of it just to ensure their sister/cousin/brother/auntie doesn't get a single piece of it.

>ill gotten gains
They [the dwarves] took back the gold the dragon stole from their halls, and according to contract Bilbo was entitled to 1/13 of it, for accompanying them on their adventure. In conclusion, he earned the gold fair and square.
