Read the first chapter. Love how Michael Houllebecq conveys the contrast between the aged protagonist’s decadence, looking at pornhub and lecturing on dead white males from centuries ago as a metaphor for French cultural exhaustion and the young and strong Muslims, vigorous in their political activism, the Muslim Brotherhood representing entire future, only looking forward.
Houllebecq is a sharp writer with his finger on the pulse of Western malaise, especially in how it affects his native France.

In real life Muslim children come to Western countries and become obsessed to the point of illness with consuming and emulating black culture and fucking blacks.
