I loved the rhyme scheme, it's jarring at first at worst. Have you read any other Melville poetry or his prose works after MD? His later collections are a bit smoother if you want to read those first to get the cadence, and Battle Aspects is also probably a good intro too. It's absolutely worth the read.

Thank you Anon! I've been looking for a chart of Christian poetry/epics for a long time. I probably won't be able to access 3/4 of these but it still helps.
