If you are like me: below ground levels of self-esteem, lack of confidence, etc. It leads you toward mentally ill artsy types who look fragile because you think you can fix them and they'll be loyal to you just like ideal women are to men better than you, but they are not actually mentally ill just psychopaths, and behind the façade of "oh my God I have so many problems, I aM So BrOKEn" they are actually oversocialized as fuck and have fucked 100s of people and then your feelings for her turns into disgust and then you have an argument and it turns out they were dating and fucking other people through the first 6 months of dating with you and may have cheated later as well?

are there any romance books that can fill the void left by romance anime and manga? books that idealize emotional connection over lust and sex. Anime has rotten my brain and the western idea of romance just doesn't do it anymore

The more I try to meet and get to know women beyond superficial first impressions, the less I actually like them as people. I wouldn't say I hate them though. At worst I fins them annoying, and at best I just don't find them interesting.
My interest in them really just comes from my overwhelming and immutable desire to fuck them and has nothing to do with their "personalities".
I would just settle for causal sex, but I don't believe in cumming outside of reproduction.

Why are you implying that someone who genuinely has bad self-esteem and lack of confidence even ends up in relationships? I have extremely low self-esteem myself and zero self-confidence, and this predictably makes me never talk to or associate with women at all, let alone getting into relationships with them.

I think you're mistaking narcissism for genuine mental health problems, frankly.

What do you mean by this "reaction images" idea and how does that fit in your lack of intimate experience and close emotional bonds with the opposite sex, which after all, is bizarre in itself, considering the fact that 99% of humans experience it, and is thus a crucial part of the human experience?

I can't blame women for "wanting" careers. In a culture where all forms of social relations except for those existing in the market are disintegrating, and only labour that takes place in market conditions is valourized, why would anyone sane aspire to be a housewife? Imagine being a young woman. Who can she rely on if not herself? Some self-centered dork like one of us? Her parents? The broader community?

Incorrect takes on the subject, the incomes of individuals in the lower-middle class has flattened since the 70's, this means the only way to increased household incomes if for to be more income streams (i.e., women working).
I fully expect that child labor laws will be relaxed in the next 10 years as inflation rises and wages do not follow suit.

>> No.19449778

>>19449734
That's also true. But then again lower class women always worked. We're talking about more affluent women for whom work is supposedly liberatory.

>> No.19449793

>>19449778
The most affluent women are so few in number that they are hardly worth talking about, the middling class of women is required to work to keep a higher standard of living as wages remain too flat for middle class men to be the sole earner.

>> No.19449830

>The most affluent women are so few in number
We're not talking about the very rich. We're talking about the middle to upper middle class. University graduates. Like I said, you're completely correct in pointing out that a growing number of households require a 2nd income to sustain their lifestyle. What we're talking about is the experience of younger women from middle to upper middle class backgrounds who could potentially get by with a single income, but choose to pursue careers because they understand (correctly) that they have no one to rely on but themselves.

>> No.19449868

>>19449830
>We're talking about the middle to upper middle class.
And the point is that they cannot get by alone, their options are as follows:
1. Dual-income household
2. Try and marry a rich guy
3. Try to become rich
4. Take on debt to fund lifestyle

1 is much easier to achieve than 2 or 3, and at some point ex post facto reasoning can occur (read: COPE).
