?

I feel sorry for the Aboriginals. They have a rich culture, an ancient one, and they were utterly screwed over by the Europeans. To this day they suffer from drug addiction, alcoholism, and other diseases of despair.

If I was in charge of the British Empire, I would have claimed all of Australia and set the continent aside for the Aboriginals. The whole world was being sliced up and claimed at that time, surely in that one continent they could have preserved what had been there for millennia.

If you lived in Australia you'd learn to hate them too. They should be exterminated.

if you were alive and in Britain at the time that Australia (New South Wales) was established (1788), let alone in charge of the British Empire at the time, your thoughts and feelings on aborigines and other groups of natives would be closer to OP's sentiments than anything close to resembling empathy or pity for them

desu they're neither as violent, as degraded, nor as primitive as some of their... cousins.

I have zero sympathy for these stone age demons. If I am forced to live in gay modern society they should be too.

When you take the modern western man as the standard for humanity, ofc people from distant cultures will look like "subhumans".

Your moral compass is historically contingent. Seems like you have a sense of cultural universalism and equity thats firmly a 20th century innovation.

These primitive tribal types are neither the subhuman savages of reactionary imagination nor the mysterious noble spirits that progressives project on them; they're in reality just as banal as any other humans, if a bit dumber on average. They care about the same petty bullshit as everyone else and they make up meme tier spiritual nonsense same as teenage girls with wicca.

Unironically this. Not killing/absorbing a people outright just leads to them wallowing in their victimhood as a perpetual machine of schizofrenia. Imagine if the English didnt squash their regional identities as well as they did and the liverpools were winging about the opression of liverpoolian english. Unironically nationalization decreased the net total amount of disenfranchisement in the world.

You’re one of those horse’s arse who spout off about the myth of the noble savage, but forgive the myth of the noble “civilized” people?
Take this bullshit back to your board.

It comes with making extremely tough choices. Most of us don't have to make those kinds of choices and can be content to just live out generally non-impactful lives. It's easy for us to say "Well if I were in charge I would just give them Australia!"; we can say those kinds of things precisely because we are not in charge.

>>19432971 makes a great point as well. For example, the people that claim the founding fathers were pieces of shit and racists because they were slave owners: they are viewing 18th century actions with a 21st century moral compass. Ironically, you could say that subscribing so thoroughly to the current zeitgeist of racial equality and social equity only shows that these same people would have most likely been slave owners had they been alive at the time.

It means he is rooted in an authentic state of being without modern pretense or affectations. He may be simple but his mind hasn't been corrupted by the false gods of materialism. What he believes, he can faithfully say belongs to him. Unlike you it is not the product of advertisement and the internet companies.

Cant take what they never had. what was his basis of authority? I hardly think he was living as a king before Whitty landed ashore.
