A power system is just a fancy version of a magic system but with pointless excuses for why they can break the laws of physics.

A fantasy adventure story is not made better just because they thought of videogame-esque reasons for why our characters can perform inhuman displays of power, if you break any of the rational laws of the universe to make your power system seem rational, you get neither because it all becomes irrational garbage when you try to explain rationally why they can do completely irrational things.

What IS the power system in OP? I dropped it years ago since Dressrosa arc when Ruffy was fighting a tranny, so I might be missing some details, but wasn't it just some bullshit fruit you it and it gives you magical powers in exchange of not being able to swim? And the powers were whatever the fuck author thought up this week. And they had some type of Voice from Dune aka being able to command people by shouting at them. And some people like Zorro and Shanks were just stupidly strong for no apparent reason cause its a silly manga for children
