A fair amount of influential thinkers have found natural sciences useless. They are mostly just salty people care more about the real world then the one they imagined. A farmer or a government official doesn't care about grand moral questions but about increasing output so to most of society a philosopher is useless. Even more so when speaking about modern philosophers who you can barely call philosophers anymore and instead they are just people who sheepishly recite the works of their betters withoud meaning anything themselves. Which is why a lot of modern philosophy is being taken over by the STEMbros
