Opinions on Irving's "Hitler's War"? Is it better than Shirer's "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich"?

Much better. But look out for his use of "Table Talks" as a source. He didn't realize it was completely worthless when he used it, though he did do a decent amount of checking beforehand in attempt to verify, and even exposed one version where the editor had fabricated a bunch of new material.

Also, his version of the holocaust is no more valid than the official one. Other than that, it's a great work. Highly recommended.

Care to elaborate?

A print copy is impossible to find, unfortunately.

>Rise and Fall of the Third Reich
Is shit so yes it’s probably better.

I haven't read rise and fall yet but it will arrive later this month. Hitlers war was quite enjoyable though. He knows how to write although it is quite obvious he tries to portray Hitler more positive than most other writers

>>19421569
you can just get it from his website

You can find copies on Ebay, but unfortunately they're quite costly

What's the website? I won't get put on a list for buying it, will I?

irvingbooks.com
The site looks a bit shit but he sell all of his books on there personally
>I won't get put on a list for buying it, will I?
I dunno. I bought his book and I am not being gangstalked yet so it should be fine. I doubt the government will care much.

It's basically an apologia for Hitler rationalizing pants on head retarded moves. Irving thinks maintaining the British empire was a good idea so of course he's insanely pro-Hitler because Hitler was an Anglophile (and Zionist).

>>19421378
>his version of the holocaust is no more valid than the official one
Which is? What was controversial was he didn't make any reference to it initially. In the 80s he ended up defending Zundel and slowly backed off that.
