my dorm doesn't have air conditioning

there is barnes and noble around here (20 mile drive)

would it be lame to pick up a book and read it at barnes and noble (can read without paying for it there)

put it back once its cooler outside and leave?

There's always a number of dedicated readers who come and either bring their own books from home or read books/magazines from the store and never buy anything. They come in at the same time, on the same days (usually most days). They can't say shit to you and if they do, which they will not, you can probably get them fired for it. The only thing they can tell if, if they're being dicks, is to kindly remember to put back the books when you're done using them and even then, you have no obligation to do so.

I'd say go for a library because chances are Borders will have some really shitty radio playing that only appeals to overweight women and will drive you insane.
