I like DeLilo, thought Libra and White Noise were solid books. He is much better than Wallace or that hack Pynchon. But i’m not sure if he’s 700+ pages good. Has anyone actually finished Underworld? If so, was it with it?

I didn't finish it because I swore an oath to never dwell on America and its dead gay nigger traumas ever again, but the first 60 or so pages are high kino and the next 200 or so that I read were great, too. DeLillo's reputation is earned.

I didn't like his other works but I liked this one (parts of it at least). I also really like dfw and pynchon so it is safe to say we have different taste. I'd still say go for it, it's alright
