The Garden of Eden

and... if I wasn't awake before
I am awake now.
I swear to it.
I still think about the coffins stuffed with worms
and the wind rustling through the jacaranda trees
and
the way divinity tastes like copper coins
and how
when you love a tainted thing
it will flip your intestines inside-out.
but, I am wine-drunk and wanting more
always more, never less.
and sometimes when I close my eyes
evil, dark things make beds behind me lids, but
I am awake now.
I am awake now and I am here
in the Garden of Eden with you, and
I am staring at the veins on the backs of your wrists
wondering
if they taste like copper coins, too.
So I am not sure if I got the line breaks right and if there are stanzas, but this is how the titles were broken up in the video. The poem wasn't in thr description. So let's discuss this baby.
