Is the beginning supposed to be painfully boring? Ive never read such boring introduction in a supposedly great novel

NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO READ IS LITERALLY THE REASON WHY THIS BOOK EXISTS. NOT EXISTING IS EXISTENCE. DESTROY YOURSELF NOW AND BOW BEFORE THE DARK ONE.
