Got any recommendations? I'd prefer short story collections but novels are just as good.

i think he's strong with his short story collections although The Glassy, Burning Floor of Hell kinda felt off imho. Something about Black Bark in Collapse that one can re-read over and over

I like Grady Hendrix's stuff, it's reads easy, has got a lot of soul, he absolutely nails his endings, and the characters are all very contemporary and accessible. Five books so far iirc and he has a new one slated for next July.

Haven't read it but saw it posted here recently a got really intrigued, Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman. Apparently another horror novel of his is really good, Those Across The River.
