Active reading. I’m learning it as part of my degree. Changed my life, I swear to god

if you're being entertained while studying, that's good.

Yep, I had two courses in uni about that in my degree and this is one of the ways to master active listening. If that doesn’t help, smoking a cigarette after a page also works

What's your interest?
For me, it used to be philosophy and psychology, now it's mostly WWII/XX century/socialism/fascism

I have to say that I was reading basic texts in a disorganized way (I only buy 2nd hand books, nothing expensive): Seneca, Voltaire, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Freud... Now, for WWII I'm also disorganized, but the scope is smaller so I can go more in depth. For instance, I'm now reading a book about Italian WWII, and the author includes himself in the bibliography (sic) while also making some inaccurate claims. Sad, since I like a couple other books from him.

Do you follow any order or logic (even a very personal one) while choosing what to read next?

I am not very organized at all, i dip in and out of many different authors, and i have a surface level understanding of some.
