Don't waste time reading what /lit/ wants you to read, don't waste time reading based books or whatever /lit/ retards call it. Read what you want, look for books on your own and have fun reading. shop or google what you are looking for, chances are you will have a lot of good options instead of being stuck reading /lit/ crap.

I wasted time trying to fit in, I read every meme author and book posted here, most of it are a waste of time especially if its political, philosophy or spiritual, you get absolutely nothing out of it. You need to find yourself and stop being /lit/ retard, read what you want.

Most of my choices of books to read are based on recommendations from here and I almost always end up enjoying them. Of course I only go for the ones that seem like they’d be up my alley.

Is this some weird Harry Potter thing? Cut back on the red wine and join a book club.

DO read the stuff /lit/ tells you to read
DONT waste your time on shitty YA and grow up
DO see the huge potential in literature as an art form
DO see the complexity of life and knowledge by reading philosophy
DO realise the immense beauty on reality and how nonfiction can lead you to it
DO read the classics and learn about the ideas and writings that influenced and formed the world cultures
And finally DO read everything to find out what interests you, there are thousands of books and themes for you to choose from, most of them you're unaware they exist, it is a privilege in life to become who you are

No reading is a waste of time. Every book read makes you a better reader than you would have been if you hadn't read it.

>political, philosophy or spiritual.
That's your fault. The only thing good here is fiction, and not what gets memed but what you ask for...
