The Old Testament (Hebrew Bible) is a Jewish text, so why not go to the source? I’m not saying to read it in Hebrew.

Op here.

Christians changed the book order. It’s not supposed to end with Malachi. Also, many verses are different to make it seem like Jesus was foretold in the Hebrew Bible.

Th source is Jesus/ Holy spirit . Not Talmudic Jews in the 14 century re writing their book to refute Christianity.
And the Septuagint is older than the oldest new Jew Bs.

Jesus didn't write the Old Testament, it was mostly Moses. In fact Christ didn't write any of it.

As far as I know modern Jews are not the biblical Jews. My understanding is that the biblical Jews evolved into the modern day Christians.

Modern day "Jews" appeared much more recently historically and are, amusingly, a spinoff/sect of Christianity that decided "nah Christ wasn't the guy after all".

In order words modern Jews are a spinoff from Christianity, rather than the common misconception that modern Christians are a spinoff of the Jews.

Right. Rabbinical Judaism (modern Judaism) developed in the 6th century AD. The Masoretic codices used in the modern Tanakh were written between the 6th and 10th centuries. The Dead Sea Scrolls generally support the Septuagint and the Peshitta, both of which predate the Masoretic texts. OP doesn't know what he's talking about.

That's literally the opposite. Most jews didn't think Jesus was the messiah as he didn't do really important shit the messiah is supposed to do, like bring about world peace, rebuild the temple, make the whole world recognize the god of Abraham and so on. if it wasn't for paul, christianity would have remained a small sect within Judaism and then died out within a couple of generations.
