Any books that talk about the concept of young people being NPC's and what causes this? I travel a lot and like to just walk around in cities and chat with people and NPC is the only way to describe zoomers. Their entire being is just twitter one liners. They don't think about anything. They have no original thoughts. They just believe whatever they're told to believe. Whatever it's cool to believe from twitter. It's like talking to a cardboard box. They don't feel human. I'm not saying like I'm some fucking intellectual. I'm a retard too it's not about being smart. It's about having original thoughts. Not having strong beliefs because someone on twitter wrote it. Asking basic questions about anything they talk about and they will go "idk" immediately. Like one girl goes I'm a philosophy major I love philosophy!. I ask "What type of philosophy do you like?" and she goes "idk". This is how every conversation with a zoomer goes. Probably 90% of zoomers are heavily political. Ask them a basic question about their candidate of choice and they will have no idea what you're talking about. Ask them what single payer healthcare entails. They have no clue. Their entire being is based on twitter one liners. They march on the streets for something they have no idea about. Everything is aesthetics

in my experience young people in general are retarded because they are much more likely to be heavily guided by sensuality and such base instinct rather than experience and wisdom. they are much more animistic. this is where the whole teen rebellion phase cames from, they are maturing and trying to figure things out but without experience they establish the classic world view based on sensualism, because they know what feels good they think they have everything figured out, so you get your teenage stoners and party animals and general hooligans who almost build an ideology around such things

if theres anything specific to the modern young folk, its that the phenomena i layed out preciously here is being kicked into overdrive by the absolute sensual overload of the modern lifestyle, between social media, drugs, modern junk food, videogames, memes, and internet videos, even more on demand televsion and other on demand "experiences", I think its getting harder and harder for human beings to grow up and mature, and break away from the adolescent reliance on sensuality. also, with the nature of all these new things, theres less tangible life experiences for young people to have, no way to naturally accumulate hands-on wisdom of the human experience, so once again, this seriously stunts their growth

By "use Twitter" I mean "have a Twitter account". I agree that people may not have any loyalty to any of the social media platforms and end up consuming a mix of all of them through several channels they browse — not even 4chan is exempt from this, as it's constantly referencing these other platforms, which reference each other in turn — but I was replying to a post that mentioned Twitter specifically and indeed, only a small part of the population is actually registered to Twitter, and only a small percentage of those produce the vast majority of the content on it. I think teens used Instagram, and now TikTok much more.
