The only real question in life is whether to give up or not. I guess this is just another way to put Camus statement that the only serious philosophical problem is suicide. Yet all over the place you find people giving up on life even if they don't commit suicide

Don’t you need to know what you are doing before you can give up? There is no meaning to giving up when there is no object which you are giving

Whatever the reason it seems that I constitutionally cannot give up. However, there is something else I greatly fear - that I will spend my life without ever seeing things truly objectively and without managing to enforce order over myself. If that comes to pass and unnoticeably remains the status quo for my life until I die, then I will have succeeded in wasting my entire life by following the path of least resistance without even giving up.

I'm not going to win any philosophical points here but I think it's giving up your dreams no matter how cringe they are. Like Naruto becoming Hokage
