Sorry, I was about 50 pages into persuasion and then I started getting obsessed with the russo japanese war again and had to drop the book and go read some books on that and now I'm in the middle of reading a book on frederick the great so I haven't finished...
Pride and prejudice is amazing though, ignore the people who say the book is just about visiting homes and stuff it's so great and all the romance scenes are wonderful
I had to put the book down at numerous times just cause I felt so excited about it, there's so much drama and character in it and the amazing thing is that the romance is not disappointing at all

As much of a masterpiece as Oniisama e is, it’s technically not a novel even though it’s on the same level of quality as some of the greatest romance novels. I will say that Year 24 manga like it utterly wipes the floor with most western romance novels though.

Fires of Winter is probably my favorite. Anything by Johanna Lindsey is good, though I prefer her more rapey historical romances to her other sweeter ones. Prisoner of My Desire is another good one. (The heroine is forced by her brother to rape the hero. Later the hero escapes, kidnaps her, and returns the favor, repeatedly) Catherine Coulter's old romances are good. The absolute best is Stormfire by Christin Monson, but it's damn near impossible to find. My mother has a paperback of it that I read when I was young. Very rapey.
