>labour inputs are different from other production inputs because... because they just are okay!
Has the fatal flaw of Marx's special pleading for labour as a production input in Das Kapital Vol. I ever been addressed?

Why would that matter? Why would historical labour change the nature of present labour for a present production process? If anything it means that present labour is of the same nature as other production inputs because the other production inputs are merely past labour; present labour would be just another production input whose only difference from other production inputs is tense, not essence or nature.

Then there is an equality of production inputs if all production inputs are labour. Present labour is of the same nature as fixed and variable capital inputs (i.e. past labour). Therefore there is nothing special about present labour that distinguishes it from other production inputs in any present production process, it's just another input amongst others and no special value-rules can be derived from present labour over and above anyother fixed or variable production input.

The failure of the syllogism is the conclusion, that mere membership in a process or body (society) justifies acquisition of the products of that bodies processes (the economy of the society), let alone in an equal proportion.
