After reading the communist manifesto i realized how fucking retarded communism/socialism really is.
Same with State and Revolution, which is just cranking this crap up to 11 and basically admitting all the shit that commies keep denying ("no it isn't violent!" - "no, the dictatorship of the proletariat isnt reeeally a dictatorship"; turns out that's all bullshit). I just started reading the Quotations of Chairman Mao Zedong and it's just full blown brain rot. It's not even using any polemics to hide its real intentions in a veil of biting snarky sarcasm anymore (which is, by the way, really fucking annoying - Lenin keeps whining about other socialists for like 2/3rds of state and revolution).

All of those are some really enlightning reads.
Big recommendation (unless you are a smooth brain and actually believe that shit in there).

This book sparked my interest in Nietzche who's high valuation of greek and roman culture made me appreciate Greeco-Roman culture more than anything else ever could. Nor would I have so much love for Ancient Mythicism and history.

Antifragile kind of made me nihilistic in a practical sense, due to its attack on scientism. It is like a hammer smashing top down authority, unatural living, self-discipline (for rne, sadly), planning, practical assumptions, respect for bureaucracy and midwittery, etc.

Yeah, it took a lot of /pol/ browsing beforehand as well, but the Open Letter really raised my level of understanding (about the USA, controlled by its establishment, being the big dog that controls everything in the West) and crushed my hopes of improvement.

Probably this book made me look at the absurdity of society, living in simplicity and the virtues of connecting with nature. The book actually delves deep into human as shaped by society and this an old book.
