Everything past the first issue was better composed. I don't think there's anything wrong with that busier style, which generally fits the board. It's just funny seeing that first issue, which was all-around crude in a lot of ways (no sense of borders, bleed, color, readability, etc.), and what it is now. The current issue is drawing on a lot of existing templates that came in between.
