As a whole, which is the better novel: Wuthering Heights or The Picture of Dorian Grey?

Dorian Grey.

Whimsy homo-erotica is so much better than whiney women.

What's the point of this thread?

Trying to see how many trolls say Wuthering Heights?

>> No.1918385

Not to be contrary, but I liked Wuthering Heights better.

I found the characters more engaging and preferred the overall writing style. While I like Wilde in general I thought 'Portrait' was boringly predictable; 'Heights' wasn't much better, mind you, but there were fewer 'sletched in' characters.

Just one man's opinion.

Doesn't ask why Wilde is better, but asks why Bronte is. Why?

>> No.1918392

these two books were my summer reading going into my sophmore level english class a few years ago in HS.

anyway, I preferred Grey.

Because I found Wuthering Heights to be dull, boring and unimaginative.
Dorian Grey is by far the better novel.
